I just learned of Duke's passing and I'm so sorry for the family's loss. There was no one like him and what a character he was. He was never without a smile on his face and a hi to everyone he saw. He had an army of friends and he will be missed by many. Elaine Mays Winkler
I'm just learning of Duke's passing. I first met Duke back in the late 80's when I was doing my apprenticeship at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, KY. He and the funeral home owner were best of friends. Then in 1992 when I went to work at the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, KY, our firm bought a hearse from Duke. I hadn't seen or heard from Duke in several years. The last time I remember seeing him was at a continuing education class in Prestonsburg, KY many years ago. He was always cheerful and had a tale to tell you. He will be missed.

My thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Sheridan family. Knowing Duke and the family for 40 years, his legacy will live on with everyone he touched.
