Pastor Irby eagerly helped me through a dark time in my life of spiritual confusion. He understood where I was coming from and helped me to decipher the difference in what God says and what man often says that God says. I will always hold him as being an instrumental part of my spiritual growth. Through many years as family friend and then co-worker, I have observed him as a loving husband, adorning father and grandfather, and office story teller. Papaw (as we all call him at A and L) would come into the office and with genuine concern go room to room patting backs, asking how it was going, and telling stories. He will truly be missed, but a piece of his influence will remain with me for the rest of my life.
I am so sorry for our loss of Pastor Irby I viewed him as a mentor I cherish his example I look forward to heaven even more than before he is with my grandparents now praying for you and the family Our loss was heavens gain

My Late Husband and I were blessed to raise our daughter Lisa in Abundant Life, which gave her the right footing to go thru life and we attended there for MANY years as my husband worked in the bus ministry...Pastor Irby was a Great Man of God and it was an honor to be part of his Church and congregation....He always had a big smile on his face and I will never forget him and his wonderful wife Nila....God Bless......
