Dear Debbie, Becky and Scott, Although it has been years since I have seen your Mother, I remember as a child how very kind she was and she had a beautiful smile. My Mother-in-law was also involved in the Alliance for the mentally ill and spoke very highly of her compassion and advocacy for this community. May God provide each if you with the peace and comfort that only He can give as you lay her to rest and live life on this earth without her here with you for the first time. So so sorry for your loss. I remember taking care of your mom and dad when I worked as a young salesperson at Superior Cadillac. Your mom and dad were wonderful folks.
My family has been neighbors with Joan and Becky for the past 14 years. I would have long conversations with Joan on her front porch. She was always very intelligent and interesting to talk with. Becky is a true friend too. We will certainly miss Joan.
I was saddened to read of Joan's passing. We shared thoughts and memories of our years involved with the Huntington Alliance on Mental Illness. Joan was a true advocate. Her brother and my son shared a residence for awhile. Her work in the community won't be forgotten. Rest in peace Joan.
