Where to begin with Mr. Mike. Our anatomy teacher, friend, and mentor. I remember feeling so honored that he came to my graduation from nursing school. To me, he was the reason I graduated in a science field and with very high honors. He lit the flame. He encouraged his students in a way unlike any other. He joked with us, played games with us, and truly treated each of us as our own adult, even if at the young age of 16/17. He always talked of the love of his life Carolyn, and his eyes lit up every time he'd mention her. He'd confess his love of her to us, he wanted everyone to know of it. I remember telling him I was focusing in oncology and he teared up due to his connection with his son's passing. I will always, always remember this man. There are truly not enough amazing and kind words to describe him. God bless him for eternity. I'll remember him by his ornery smile when he talked about cilia "tiny lil hairs." 💔🙏🏻
