i hadnt seen dean since our next to last class reunion and i knew our heavenly father was watching over him..He will be missed and I look forward to being with him in heaven..
Dean and I reunited following our Chesapeake High School 40th Reunion (2009). He was unable to attend due to his health. We met that fall in Lexington, KY. and have emailed ever since. Dean was always quick to share God's love and compassion. I know he is with our Lord, Jesus Christ, praising God and enjoying eternity. We talked about our families and growing up, our adventures and travel. I know Dean loved Jared beyond what he could express. That's odd in itself, because Dean never seemed to be at a loss for words. He was a good friend and I will miss him greatly. I am saddened because of my loss, not what Dean has gained. I will see him again....that's the good news! I pray that God will touch each heart with peace and understanding concerning the loss of Dean. Gloria Henson Quick Dunn, NC
Hello, my name is Jared Waller, the only childson of the late Bernard Dean Waller. I mainly just wanted to post on here a big thank you to each of you, who took the time out of your very busy schedules, to pray for us and post a lovely comment on this funeral home site. I went to High School with this dear person and always enjoyed his kindness towards others, his wonderful stories of the people in the area in which we grew up, and most of all his Love for the Lord which he shared openly with everyone he met. If you knew 'Bernard' you know he would give you the shirt off his back. This past Christmas my husband and I were very blessed to have 'Bernard' which is what I always called him to spend Christmas with us at our home. What a wonderful blessing he was to us both as we all three put together details from our memories of the past, listened to him play music for us and sing, and thanked God for the here and now. I miss you a lot my friend and know one day we will meet again in Heaven where I am sure I will find you standing by the Lord helping him to greet others into Heaven with your smile and love of the scriptures.
