Alice Janenne Smith's Obituary
Alice Janenne Smith, wife of Pastor Duane Smith of Proctorville, OH, went to be in heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at her home. Surviving with her husband include her son, Pastor David Michael Smith and his wife, Pamela; daughters, Meloney Ann Southers and her husband Roger, Merilee Childers and her husband Timothy and Marlena Sewell and her husband Rev. Wesley Sewell; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and their families and her church family at First Baptist Church of Proctorville, OH. She was a precious wife and ministry partner. She organized and directed a ladies ministry at First Baptist Church called Willing Workers. This group has made clothing, quilts and various other items for the homeless and items to help missionaries around the world reach others with the message of Jesus Christ. There will be a funeral service held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Proctorville officiated by Pastor Jeff Black with burial to follow at Miller Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. There will also be a visitation held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 6-9 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home & Crematory in Proctorville, OH.
