Allen Kinard's Obituary
Allen G. Kinard, 77, of Chesapeake, OH went to his eternal home on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 after an extended illness. He was the husband of fifty-four years to Sharon Ann (Pearlman) Kinard who survives. Allen was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the son of the late Allen Hill Kinard whom he lost at the age of sixteen due to an accident, and to Annamae (Bailey) Kinard. Allen was also preceded in death by three of his siblings. He attended West Tech High School until the eleventh grade. He quit attending after his father's untimely death. He served in the Army and fought for our country during the Vietnam War. After the military, he worked several jobs. The last twenty years of his working life he was employed by the VA Hospital. Allen and Sharon are members of Charity United Baptist Church. Allen was a born again Christian who loved the Lord and going to church was his favorite activity. He love to share his testimony and worship with his brothers and sisters in the Lord. In addition to his wife, Allen is survived by his daughters, Amy (Tracy) Chaffin of Kitts Hill, OH and Laurie Minor and partner Chris Pfeifer of Chillicothe, OH; two sons, Allen Kinard of Huntington, WV and Joshua Kinard Partner Julie of Ironton, OH. He was loved by his grandchildren, Cody Chaffin of South Point, OH, Christopher (Maggie ) Chaffin of South Point, OH, Dustin Carr of Chillicothe, OH, Andrew Minor of Houston, TX, Bethanie (Cody) Damron of Kitts Hill, OH, Ashley Kinard of Wilmington, OH, Sophie Kinard of Russell, KY and Ashton Hatten of Chillicothe, OH; eight great grandchildren; five siblings, Sandy (Gary) Plain, Pam (Dale) Montgomery, Ronald Kinard, Sherry (Ben) Estep and Danny Kinard; and several neices and nephews. Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home in Chesapeake, OH. Brother Ezra Burton and Brother O.F Adkins will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veteran's Cemetery Northeast in Grayson, KY.
