Alvin Lee McQuaid's Obituary
Alvin Lee McQuaid, 82 of Proctorville, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday May 8, 2022. He was born March 4, 1940 to the late Reverend Gleo Harper and Lily Henson McQuaid. What greater gift could he give his Mother, than to meet her in heaven on Mother's Day. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nine siblings.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Talmadge Poff McQuaid, his children, Cindy Hall, Tim McQuaid, Ted (Tammy) McQuaid, Brenda (Scott) Wellman, Patty (Darren) Haner, Tony (Rachel) McQuaid and brother William "Knapp"(Ruth)McQuaid. Seven grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Alvin was a Christian man asking for and receiving repentance from our Lord on September of 2013. He retired from Union Twp where he was known as the "Grader Man." He worked at Gallipolis Locks and Dam. He loved his family and friends, being the center of entertainment. He enjoyed gospel and country western music, as well as hunting and fishing. Alvin will be greatly missed and loved by many. Graveside Service will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH, with Greg Robbins officiating. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Alzheimer's Association. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com.
