Alvin Kline Riley's Obituary
Alvin Kline Riley passed away and entered the kingdom of heaven on Tuesday morning, January 30, 2018. He was born on April 14, 1935 to Joseph and Thelma Riley. Alvin was a proud Marine and served his country in the Korean War. He loved his country and was a wonderful family man. He loved to watch Western movies, Reds games, and Buckeye games with his family. He also loved to fish and garden, and always made time to take anyone fishing. Alvin was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years; Carolyn Ann Riley on October 18, 2016. Alvin will be deeply missed by his children Randy Lee Riley of Columbus, Mark Allen Riley of Columbus, and twins Andrew Kline (Amy) Riley of Columbus & Angela Kay Riley Harpold of Parkersburg; brothers, Kenny Riley and Donald Riley, both from Ohio; sisters, Alvina Burns, Carol Rose, and Dorothy Flora, all from Ohio; grandchildren, Randy Riley of Columbus, Brandi Riley of Columbus, Joseph Riley of Columbus, Brian Riley of Lancaster, Andrew (Lauren) Harpold of Parkersburg, Hannah, Sarah, Nathan, and Matthew Riley of Columbus, Shelby Harpold and Kaitlin Riley; great grandchildren, Leiland Riley, Everlee Riley, and Hunter Riley of Columbus. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Proctorville V.F.W. Post 6878 will conduct military graveside rites. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
