The family of Anna Ruth Hale annAnnaounce the peaceful passing of a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, on May 29, 2026, at the age of 93, Anna Ruth was born in Logan, West Virginia on September 13, 1932, to her loving parents William Herndon and Annie Peck Hale. Anna Ruth graduated from Logan High School and Huntington College of Business. She worked at Appalachian Power in Logan, WV before relocating to Marietta, GA where she was employed by the Department of Physics at Georgia Institute of Technology for over thirty years. Anna was a soulful person who wrote poetry in her younger years and later collected art by various artists from the southeast. She was full of kindness, strength, and grace throughout her long life. Anna Ruth enriched the lives of all who knew her and she is cherished by many. Anna was preceded in death by her brother, William “Bill” Hale, and her husband, Harry Dulaney, with whom she shared a wonderful life for over 40 years. She is survived by her devoted sisters, Donetta Vanhuss, Shirley Dyer, and Linda Steele. Anna's love extended to her nieces and nephews and their spouses, numerous great-nieces and nephews and their children, all of whom she adored. A celebration of Anna Ruth's life will be held on June 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill, West Virginia. In lieu of flowers, you may choose to make a donations in Anna Ruth's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her generous spirit and dedication to helping others.
