Annis Threna Shoemaker's Obituary
Annis Threna Shoemaker 1931 - 2017 Anice (Annis) Threna Shoemaker, of Proctorville, Ohio, our beautiful mother and enduring spirit, returned to her heavenly home on September 3, 2017 at the age of 86. Annis was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Shoemaker and parents William and Hazel Louden Birchfield. She is leaving four children, Karen Adams of Huntington, WV, Steve Shoemaker, Phillip (Debbie) Shoemaker, and Kimberly (Dale) Bias all of Proctorville, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Lori (Dan) Terango, Jason (Kendy) Adams, Chris (Terry) Shoemaker, Greg (Amy) Shoemaker, Joshua Shoemaker, Sara Beth Shoemaker, Amber Bias, and Bryson Bias ; nine great grandchildren, Joseph and Johnathon Terango, Madison and Ethan Adams, Kaydence, Savannah, and Harrison Shoemaker, and EmmaLee and Levi Shoemaker; siblings Betty Boster of Huntington, WV, Clarence (Kathy) Birchfield of Ohio, Burl (Doris) Birchfield of Ohio, and Alma Canaday of Ohio. She was a member of Guyandotte Church of Christ for many years and retiree of St. Marys Medical Center. Annis was blessed growing up in a large family that she loved dearly. Also preceding her in death are three brothers, Otho, John, and Junior; four sisters Beulah, Florence, Macel, and Maxine. The family wishes to thank the nurses on the telemetry and orthopedic units at St. Marys Medical Center and the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington for their excellent care and concern for our mother. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday September 8, 2017 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Minister Robert Huron. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday September 7, 2017 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
