Anthony E. Lawson's Obituary
Tony, 57, of Burlington, OH, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on Monday, December 22, 2025 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born October 27, 1968, in Tucson, Arizona.
He graduated from South Point High School, attended WV State University, where he took every Art Class available and loved them all. He was an artist, author, cook, caterer and dreamer! He loved teaching art classes to young people at the J.W. Scott Community Center. Now he has moved on to a bigger and higher Canvas. Tony confessed Christ at an early age and later rededicated his life to Him as an adult.
Tony leaves behind his loving family; father, Juan R. Lawson; mother, Geneova (Neva) Lawson; sister, Kimberly D. Lawson Murphy; nephew and movie buddy, Hamilton V. Murphy; his drawing buddy, Kingston Garrett, all of Burlington, OH; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins as well as many friends and special buddies who loved him. And he loved them. He will be missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to thank Drs. Muhammed Jamil, Scott Mitchell, Erica Schuster; Cabell Huntington Hospital, St. Mary’s Medical Center, Kings Daughter’s; Fresenius Kidney Care and A & L Home Care and entire staff for their wonderful care.
Tony's favorite Bible verse is John 11:12 "Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well."
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Burlington 37 Cemetery, South Point, OH.
