Anthony Francis Tomlinson's Obituary
Anthony Francis Tomlinson,87, of Proctorville OH, passed away on October 24. He was born on May 3, 1938, in Charleston, WV. He attended Saint Anthony Grade School and Charleston Catholic High School. He graduated from Marshall University with a BS in Engineering and an MBA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Warren Tomlinson. He is survived by his wife, Dianna of 55 years, his daughter Kathryn (Rob) Noll, son Aaron (Danielle), son Andrew, grandchildren Mary Caroline, Gabe and Emily, and sister Sara (Michael) Shipman. Tony retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers with 40 years of service. He loved playing golf, attending model train shows, bowling on the US Army Corps League, and was an avid Marshall University sports fan. He was a parishioner of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church and a member of The Knights of Columbus. Family will receive visitors on Friday, October 31 at 11 AM Saint Joseph’s Church 1304 6th Ave., Huntington, WV. Funeral Mass presided by Rev. Msgr. Dean G. Borgmeyer will follow at noon. Donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.
