Arnold Ray Bennett's Obituary
Arnold Ray Bennett, 78, of Proctorville, OH, very special friend and uncle went home to be with the Lord on Saturday May 19, 2018 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born January 12, 1940 to the late Clyde and Mary Scarberry Bennett. Arnold was a lifetime member of Rome Volunteer Fire Dept. where he served as Captain and treasurer. He was an avid bowler for over 30 years. He was retired from Moore Hardware and also worked for Cooks Hardware. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law Russell and Mary Kay Bennett, three sisters Stella Dornon and best friend and Brother-in-law Paul "Sonny" Dornon, Mary Ann Bennett, Patty Workman, and one nephew David Workman II. Arnold is survived by 13 nieces, nephews and their families, and some very special neighbors. Visitation will be held 5:30p.m. to 7p.m. Tuesday May, 22, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory Proctorville, OH. Graveside service will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Wednesday May 23, 2018 at Rome Cemetery Proctorville, OH with Pastor Jeff Black officiating.
