Arvin Odell Colegrove's Obituary
Arvin Odell Colegrove, 84, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Thursday December 12, 2024, at the Emogene Dolen Jones Hospice House, Huntington, West Virginia. Mr. Colegrove was born April 21,1940 in Lincoln County, WV, son of the late Emanuel and Blanchie McClellan Colegrove. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Frances Colegrove; two sisters, Geraldine Colegrove, and Colleen Toppings; and two brothers, Olin Linuel Colegrove, and Arlin Denver Colegrove. Arvin is survived by his children, Arvin Colegrove Jr., Connie (Myrl) Adkins, Tammy ( Frank) Hoke, and Greg (Patti) Colegrove; grandchildren, Ashley Swain, Jeffrey Adkins, Jennilee Chatterton, Amanda Johnson, Kimberly Hunt, Steven Hoke, Scotty Hoke, Anthony Hoke, and Ryan Dunn; 34 great grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; four sisters, Regina Adkins, Alita (Arden Jr.) Berry, Marie (Danny) Lambert, and Lynn (Jimmy) Brumfield; three brothers, Willis “Wick” (Judy) Colegrove, Garrell “Charlie” (Kay) Colegrove, and Waymith “Duke” (Thelma) Colegrove; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends. Arvin was a US Army Veteran. Funeral service will be conducted 2 PM Sunday December 15, 2024, at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio with military graveside rites. Visitation will be held one hour before service.
