Along with her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John DeVore; her siblings, Sharon (Chauncey) Black, Debbie (Tom) Dorsey, Bobbie (Doris) Prince, and Leslie (Charlotte) Prince; and her daughters, Vickie Green and Kimberly Eaves. Barbara lived a life defined by devotion to her family and quiet strength. She created a home filled with warmth, comfort, and unwavering love. Her gentle spirit and kind heart were a blessing to all who knew her. She was a lifelong and faithful member of Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where her steady presence and quiet faith were an important part of her life. She is survived by her loving children, Lori (Mike) Morgan, Stephanie Dailey, and Michelle Devore; her siblings, Dwight (Cristy) Prince, Marilyn (George) Black, and Alma (Jackie) Pyles; along with eight cherished grandchildren and thirteen beloved great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close. She especially loved sitting on her porch with a warm cup of coffee, listening to church services, and enjoying the peaceful rhythm of life — simple pleasures that brought her great comfort and contentment. "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians. Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and grace — a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. "A good heart has stopped beating, but a heart that has touched so many lives can’t help but live on in those it loved." A funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, March 2, 2026, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH. Burial will follow the service at Centenary Cemetery in Willow Wood, OH.
