Barbara Sue Yost's Obituary
On July 6,2020, Barbara Sue Yost went to sleep on earth and awoke in Heaven. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends here on earth. Her goal in life was to be a good Christian wife, mother, Grammy, sister, aunt, and friend. She surely achieved her goal. Family and Friends look forward to reuniting with her some in Heaven. Barbara was born in Kittanning, PA on April 21, 1951. Her parents were Lloyd Bruce Blystone and Anna Marie Harkleroad Blystone. She is now reunited with them and others who have preceded her in death. She will get to hold Daniel Allen Yost, her grandson who visited earth but a short time. Barbara was married to Larry Allen Yost for 35 plus years. She is also survived by her son, Bruce Allen (Stephanie) Yost and her daughter, Beth Elaine Yost (Tim) Tanis. Her newest joy on earth is her granddaughter, Addison Grace Yost. Others surviving are her brother, Alan (Deb) Blystone; her sister, Marlene (Mel) McRoberts; sisters-in-law, Linda Yost (Chuck) Eicher and nephew, Chris Eicher. She also left behind many family members and friends. Barbara was a nurse at Butler (PA) Hospital until she married Larry and moved to Huntington, WV. Until her retirement, she worked at Scott Orthopedics. She became a babysitter for several precious children and remained friends with the families as the children grew. Finally, Myasthenia Gravis and other health problems forced her to retire from babysitting. She volunteered at the New Life Pregnancy Center. Barbara always loved working with children and cuddling the babies. Barbara faithfully served with her husband in church service at Walnut Hills Baptist and Abundant Life Baptist. She served as pianist, in choir and in special singing groups. She worked in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, church camp week, and childrens Master Club. We miss Barbara so much, but we understand that she suffers no longer and is waiting for us to join her in Heaven. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday July 10, 2020 at Abundant Life Baptist Church Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday July 9, 2020 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio.
