Benjamin Franklin McDade's Obituary
Our beloved Benjamin "Ben" Franklin McDade of Willow Wood, OH entered into God's Kingdom on November 25, 2023. Ben was born on August 24, 1938 and grew up in Bainbridge, OH, and he moved to Lawrence County in the late 70's. Ben loved to work on the farm with all of the animals. He enjoyed his garden and knew much about the trees and the woods where he also liked to spend time. He loved his family that took care of him throughout his life, he enjoyed listening to the gospel and to gospel music. Ben loved to have fun, he never met a stranger, he was always kind and pleasant, and he always had a smile on his face. He cherished taking care of and babysitting the "babies" in his life, which were the family kids that had the privilege of growing up around him. Ben's family that passed before him include his parents William and Bertha Beechler, his brother and sister-in-law Ralph and Pearl Brown, and nephew Harold "Bucky" Shafer. Ben is survived by many loving family members, including his niece Janet Shafer, and several great-nephews and great nieces; Duane (Stephanie) Shafer, Delana Gates, Jarrett Shafer, Travis (Kalli) Gates, Katelin (Jonah) Graybeal, Karissa (Brian) Bremer, Hannah Gates, Grayden Shafer, Ranson Gates, Branch Graybeal, and Dalson Gates.
