Bernard Lee Turley's Obituary
Bernard "Papaw" Turley: Born on May 8th, 1939 went home to The Lord Tuesday evening, March 8, 2022. There, he will reunite with his father, Charles Bernard Turley; mother, Edith Gertrude Turley; daughter, Tracey White; and sisters Ruth Warren, Deborah Paden, and Loretta Turley. He was admitted to Holzer Hospital January 25, 2022 and, after fighting health complications, he parted. He is survived by his wife, Anita Turley; his siblings, Joyce Watson, Minnie Swann and Meredith Turley; three daughters, Angela Lewis, Stormie Woods and Susan Turley; grandchildren, Jack White Jr., Sandy Dawn White, Scottie White, Aaron White, Eric White, Jessica White, Josh Lewis, Rainy Woods, Frank Woods, Michael Miller, David Miller, Dakota Miller; and his numerous great grandchildren. Bernard was a quiet man with strong convictions who loved the outdoors and working with his hands. His labor was how he conveyed his love and he loved endlessly with gardening, woodwork, crafting, and painting. He embodied peace and strength to those that knew him. The example of his life will carry on with his family and his soul will carry on with Jesus in the Abode of God. He was a US Army veteran. As per his wishes there are no formal plans for a service, but in lieu of that the family asks that you live with the character of Bernard in mind: take pride in your work, share what you have and make apparent what you hold in your heart for the people that you love. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.
