Bernard V Wilson's Obituary
Bernard V. Wilson, 87, of South Point, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. He was born July 25, 1930 in Huntington, WV. He was son of the late Charles L. and Hazel Cooper Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Fonda Lynn Wilson; three brothers; and one sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Bernice Eileen Wilson; two sons, John Wilson and his wife Paula of Willow Wood, Ohio, Jeff Wilson and his wife Diane of Mebane, NC; two daughters, Paula Hendershot and her husband Tim of Walker, WV, and Nicole Clinton and her husband Mark of Chesapeake, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one brother, Gene Wilson of Boham, TX; and lifelong special friends, Larry and Peggy Lawrence of South Point, Ohio. For the majority of his adult life, Bernard served as worship and song leader throughout the Tri-state and Mid Ohio Valley, as well as in the state of Florida. He served as an elder of Pentecostal Truth Ministries in Huntington, WV for many years. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday January 22, 2018 at Pentecostal Truth Ministries, 1208 Adams Avenue, Huntington, WV by Rev. Tim Porter with visitation an hour before the service. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Visitation will also be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday January 21, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio.
