Bertin O. Lawson's Obituary
Bertin O. Lawson, 92, of South Point, Ohio passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024, in Sanctuary of the Ohio Valley. He was born February 10, 1932, in Sutton, WV son of the late Henry and Mamie Boyce Lawson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise V. Lawson; two daughters, Brenda Lee Joyce, and Stella Sue Lenox; one son, Bobby Lee Lawson; and numerous brothers and sisters. He retired from the U.S. Army after 25 years of service where he also received The Bronze Star. Bertin is survived by two daughters, Lois Ann Riggs, and Judy Watson; 13 grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren; one brother, Benny Lawson; one sister, Ruby James; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Pastor Aaron Childers officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio.
