Betty Jo Chastain, 81, of Huntington, WV passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. She was born August 17, 1935 in Chattaroy, WV daughter of the late Bracken and Hazel Haire Damron. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ulysses Samuel Chastain and son Michael D. Chastain. She is survived by one daughter Donna (Rusty) Watterson of Apple Grove, WV; three sons Kenney (Marsha) Chastain of Milton, WV, John (Ruthie) Chastain of Huntington, WV and Doyle Chastain of Huntington, WV; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters Linda Farley of Huntington, WV and Trudy Poole of Independence, KY; one brother Mike Damron of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to everyone who called, visited and kept mom in their thoughts and prayers. She loved her children unconditionally, as we loved her. May she be wrapped in the comfort of our dads arms and hugging our brother Michael Chastain as she made the transition to a better place. You have no idea how badly you will be missed.
