Betty Doyle Curtis' Obituary
Betty Doyle Taylor Curtis, Age 89, formerly of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away May 16th,2024 at The Oaks at Hampton Assisted Living Facility in Cumming Ga. Betty was born Nov. 10th,1934 in Huntington, WV, to the late William Roy Taylor and Bertha Copeland Taylor. She was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church in Chesapeake, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Curtis; one son Jerry Murdock; and one sister Jean Hawk. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law Brian and Lisa Curtis of Sunset Beach, NC., and one daughter and son-in-law Jill and David Ray of Dawsonville, GA; seven grandchildren, Heather (Adam) Himes of Pembroke VA., Christopher Ray (Taylor Wilson) of Gainesville, GA., Joshua (Katie) Ray of Dawsonville, GA., Emily (Austin ) Askew of Cumming GA., Briana (Devan) King of Clarkesville, TN., Jeremy Ray of Dawsonville, Ga. and Jamie Murdock of Fl; five Great grandchildren, Bebo Himes, Riley Ray, Allison Ray, Briggs Askew and Joshua Murdoc; one Nephew, Steve Collins; and one niece Debbie Collins. Funeral Service will be conducted at Hall Funeral Home in Proctorville OH, on Monday, May 20th, 2024, at 11 A.M. with Pastor Jeff Black officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.In Lieu of flowers please make donations to Caritas Hospice 800 Old Dawson Village Rd.
