Betty Lou Dempsey's Obituary
Betty Lou Dempsey, 82, of Proctorville, OH, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington. Born on May 30, 1942, in Coal Grove, OH, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Minnie Ellis Halleck. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Dow Dempsey; her son, Jerry Dempsey, brother, Cecil Halleck and an infant brother. Betty is survived by her sons, Michael (Linda) Dempsey of Parma, OH, Lee Dempsey of Avon Lake, OH, and Howard (Theresa) Dempsey of Scottown, OH; 10 grandchildren, Candice (Jessica), Christen, Cyndal (Cory), Brandon, Jenny, Tabitha (Adam), Howie (Wendy), Mikey, Bradford, and Jessica; 22 great-grandchildren, Parker, Benny, Mathew, Keilei, Hunter, Greyson, Brody, Logan, Koralyn, Drake, Mikey (Abby), Laryn, Kennedy, Alyssa, Kylie, Chase, Rylee, Madison, Braden, Derek, Taylor, and Carter; 5 great-great grandchildren, Genesis, Lucas, Rhett, Jameson, and Oliver, and extended family Deborah Gilbert, Sharon Poling, Stacey Dempsey, Bev (Jerry) Fishbach, Braden Ward, and Sally Porter Halleck. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 1:00 P.M.
