Betty Jane Stombock's Obituary
Betty Jane Stombock, 92, of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Harbor Healthcare in Ironton, Ohio. Born on January 16, 1932, in Huntington, WV, she was the daughter of the late Green and Bessie Faye Tomblinson Perkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Everett Stombock; 4 brothers, Sam Perkins, Jimmy Perkins, Fred Perkins, Melvin Perkins, and sister, Ruby Perkins. Betty was retired from Owens Illinois and was a member of New Baptist Church in Huntington, WV. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Craig) Black of Proctorville, OH; sons, Steven (Anita) Stombock of Jacksonville, FL, and Jim Stombock of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren Natalie Szwaya, Sara Spangler, Grant Black, Jill, Megan, Zach, and Zane Stombock ; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; 2 special friends, Paula Cook and Sherri Taubenheim. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, Ohio, with Jeff Perkins, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park in Huntington, WV.
