Billy Ray Whitley's Obituary
Billy Ray Whitley, 62, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Friday, June 2, 2023, at home. He was born August 5, 1961, in Huntington, WV son of the late Charlie Bill and Catherine Clark Whitley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother "Jerry" Lee Whitley. Billy is survived by a son, Nick (Bethany) Whitley of Chesapeake, Ohio; two grandchildren, Chase and Channing Whitley; one sister, Judy (Doug) Diamond; two brothers, Timmy Whitley and Dean (Melissa) Whitley; special friends of the family, Kathy Whitley and Tammy Whitley, Troy Tackett, Steve Hamlin,Howard Ward and Billy Singer; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Billy enjoyed being outdoors and spending time on the farm. He also worked as a carpet installer. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2023, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Pastor Eddie Salmons officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
