Birch Loran Copley's Obituary
Birch Loran Copley, 93, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Sunday February 12, 2023, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV. He was born November 8, 1929, in Fort Gay, WV to the late Luther and Mary Thompson Copley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Leigh Ann Howard; two brothers Luther and Robert Copley; and two sisters Dollie Gillen and Betty Jordan. He is survived by his wife Janet Copley; children Kimberly (Glenn) Spaulding, Susan Copley, Lora Beth (Greg) Hearn; stepchildren Michael (Sherri) Pyles, Steven (Lynn) Pyles; grandchildren Kinner and Katie Spaulding, Tyler Howard, Keri Gannon, Nicole (Lyndsea) Pyles, Alex Pyles, Christine (Adam) Oldfield; and two great grandchildren. Birch attended Westmoreland United Methodist Church and was a Korean War Army veteran. He was a retired general contractor. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday February 18, 2023 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Rev. Tom Nolan. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens Barboursville, WV. Visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday February 18, 2023, at the funeral home.
