Blanche E. Elliotte's Obituary
Blanche E. “Punkie” O”Lynn Elliotte, 100, of Proctorville, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Friday March 21, 2025 at home. She was born October 10, 1924 in Huntington, WV to the late Rev. Franklin Joseph and Blanche Elizabeth O’Lynn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bertrand F. Elliotte; and four sisters Reba Karnes, Ruth Popolizio, Deborah Tanner, Gloria Moncer; three brothers Robert O’Lynn, William O”Lynn and Van Emmitte O’Lynn; and one great grandson Derek Bryan Lee II. She is survived by her son Robert (Carolyn) O’Lynn of Proctorville; daughters Eulelia Elliotte of Proctorville, Susan (Glynn) Adkins of Florida, Deb (Jonathan) Elliotte of Huntington, WV; one granddaughter; two grandsons; two great granddaughters, and four great grandsons; and many nieces and nephews. Blanche graduated from Huntington East High School. She worked various jobs after high school until getting married where she started working at Elliotte’s Gateway in Proctorville as a cashier along with her close friends Mary Neal and Jean Dillon. Blanche and Bertrand belonged to the local Air Patrol for many years. Blanche and several lady friends attended Marshall football games together. They had season tickets and they went rain or shine, home and away. Later in life she spent time working various puzzles in the paper and books she would buy. She will certainly be missed by the many people that knew her. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday March 29, 2025 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Dr. Rob O’Lynn and Minister Richard Tanner officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington, Proctorville or Rome Fire Department or any animal shelter.
