Blanche Whaley Maggard's Obituary
BLANCHE WHALEY MAGGARD, 94, of Temple, AZ, formerly of South Point, OH, died Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Banner Medical Center in Mesa, AZ, following a lingering illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Calvin Whaley and Marie Moore Whaley; husband, Edward Maggard; and sister, Lenora Mae Whitley. She was a niece of Elza C. Moore, and cousin to Spencer A Moore of Huntington, WV. Blanche was a graduate of South Point Delta High School, attended Huntington School of Business, and received a Real Estate certificate in California. She and her husband worked 15 years for Allied Chemical before moving to Long Beach, CA, where they operated a Tasty Freeze for 15 years. At her request, there will be no visitation or service. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio. Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH, is in charge of arrangements.
