Braxton Dean Gilpin's Obituary
Braxton Gilpin, 18, of Perry GA., formerly of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023. Born April 4, 2005, he was the son of Aaron Gilpin of Perry, GA, and Meghan (Donald) Edwards of Proctorville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Roger and Deanna Gilpin of Huntington WV. Survived by his sister Hannah Gilpin of Proctorville, Ohio; maternal grandparents, Marty and Lynne Murphy and multiple cousins, aunts, and uncles. In death, Braxton will live on through organ donation and will change the lives of many. Braxton was a member of Air Force JR ROTC of Perry, GA and dreamed of one day serving his country in the armed forces. CM Sgt Robert Spears and Lt. Col. Greg Bailey (JR ROTC) both had a huge part in molding our son Braxton into the incredible young man that he had become. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Pastor Bobby Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held 12 to 1 p.m. Thursday also at the funeral home.
