Brenda Gay Fisher's Obituary
Brenda Gay Fisher, 74, of Huntington, WV, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. She was born November 24, 1948 in Crum, WV to the late Ked and Hazel (Brewer) Marcum. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Andrews; brother, Thomas Lee Marcum; sister in law, Josephine Marcum; sister, Grethel Harris; sister in law, Faye Marcum; niece, Hazel Estep; and nephew, Wade E. Marcum. Brenda retired from Alcon after 29 years. She loved to cook and loved quilting. She made many beautiful quilts that helped many families in times of death. She loved her two grand dogs and two cats. Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Jackie Tanner of Barboursville, WV and Billie Jo Skaggs (Mike) of Huntington, WV; grandchildren, Joshua Nance (Keisha), Korey Call (Caitlyn), Jonathan Nance and Quentin Call; great grandchildren, Graddy Call and Branson Nance; a host of nieces and nephews; a sister, Jewell Marcum; two brothers, Wade Marcum (Edith) and Ked Marcum Jr., and special friend, Stephen Long. The family would like to thank Cabell Huntington Hospital Cancer Center, Dr. Pacioles and his nurse Pat, OSU Hematology and Hospice of Huntington. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Hall Funeral Home & Crematory in Proctorville, OH with Pastor Mike Skaggs officiating.
