Brent Gool's Obituary
The family of Jeffrey Brent Gool, of Proctorville, Ohio, is saddened to announce his passing on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the age of 62. He was born November 20, 1962, in Ashland, KY, to Carol Ball Gool of Coal Grove, Ohio and the late Freddie L. Gool.
He will be loved and missed by his wife of 17 years, Filomena Marie Gool; son, Cody Gool (Shanna); his stepchildren, Megan (Logan) Keaton, Steven Daily, Seth (Hannah) Keaton, and Nicholas Keaton; grandchildren, Jett Gool, Brennan, Kaia, and Cora; brother, Brian (Melissa) Gool; mother-in-law, Janet Filie; nieces, Stephanie (Ryan) Meenach, Rachel (Zack) Klemme and Mary VanNostrand; aunt and uncle, Kay and Mike Shannon; special cousins, Penny Hill and Stacy Underwood; brothers-in-law, Peter (Patricia) Filie and Michael Filie; and sister-in-law, Felicia (Robert) VanNostrand.
He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Peter Valentino.
Brent was a 1982 graduate of Coal Grove High School. He was employed by the Ironton Malleable and had worked in the auto industry for 34 years (including Chesapeake Ford, Brothers Auto Sales and B & H Auto Sales).
Brent loved to go to the Bengals and Cincinnati Reds games with family and friends, loved to ride his motorcycle, and had the incredible need for speed. He was a 9-year member of The Blue Knights International WV III, and the President of Ride with Cops charitable foundation.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4 to 6 P.M. on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, with a Celebration of Life Service held at 6 PM.
May we continue to carry the laughter, the joy, the warmth of his infectious smile and the sense of security he provided to all, simply by knowing his presence was near.
