Brian Wayne Potter's Obituary
Brian Wayne Potter, born September 15, 1967, passed away on August 15, 2025. He was a talented mechanic who had a deep love for cars, racing, and loud music. Wherever he was, you could usually hear the loud car and music first.
Brian is survived by his children: Courtenay Collier, Brian Potter-Collins, Miriah Potter, Summer Pauley, Dustin Potter, Brianna Potter, Tennessee Hale, Mia Hale, Mackey Potter, Johanna Potter, and Drema Potter—as well as 28 grandchildren. He also leaves behind his father, Robert Potter, and his stepfather, Walter Plumley. He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Plumley; his brothers, Robert and Bradley Potter; his stepbrother, Wally Plumley; and is remembered by his stepsisters, Mary and Billie Plumley.
Brian wasn’t perfect, but he was loved—and he loved his family in his own way. He’ll be remembered for his loud laugh, his love for engines and racing, his wild sense of humor, and the way he could make people laugh without even trying. His personality was big, bold, and unforgettable—just like him.
A funeral service to remember Brian will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH. Visitation will be one hour prior from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
