C.J. Mentz Jr., 20, of Huntington, WV passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. He was born January 14, 2003 to Tamara Mentz and Charles Mentz Sr. C.J. was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Betty Hoke; maternal grandmother, Anna Marie Fleegle and his companion Aaliyah's grandfather, John Wright. He is survived by his parents Tamara Mentz and Russell Spears and Charles Mentz Sr.; a daughter, Ava Wright; companion, Aaliyah Wright; seven sisters, Briana, Ariel, Brooke, Mia, Whitney, Kaden and Carli; three brothers, Brandon, Ethan and Austin; nieces and nephews, Asuke, Marissa, D.J., Aubrey, Skylar, Aria, Esther, Unafaye, James, Addilynn, Weston, Raelynn and J.R. There will be a funeral service held at noon on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Apostolic Life Cathedral in Huntington, WV with burial to follow at Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, OH.
