Candy Anderson's Obituary
Sylvia Marie "Candy" Anderson, 62, of Crown City, Ohio, passed away on April 28, 2025, in Huntington, West Virginia. Born on November 19, 1962, in Gallipolis, Ohio, Candy lived a life rooted in faith and filled with love for her family and the simple joys of nature. Candy was of the apostolic faith and found great joy in attending Chesapeake Pentecostal Church in Chesapeake, Ohio. Her spiritual life was a guiding force throughout her years, and she cherished her relationship with the Lord deeply. She had a passion for the outdoors and embraced every opportunity to be surrounded by nature. Whether camping under the stars, casting a line while fishing, or traveling to her beloved Panama City Beach to enjoy the ocean breeze, Candy found peace and happiness in these moments. Her love for travel and exploration reflected her vibrant spirit and appreciation for life’s beauty. Candy is survived by her husband, Michael Dean Anderson of Crown City, Ohio; two sons: Joshua Allen and his daughter Maria Jade Stumbaugh of Ohio; and Keith Allen and his wife Danielle of Willow Wood, Ohio. She also leaves behind grandchildren Kylie Wyatt, Leah Allen, and Emily Allen of Willow Wood. In addition to her immediate family, Candy was a loving caretaker to four special children: Michael and Lily White and Alyssa and Noah Ostby. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Darlene Lawson and her sister Linda McKenzie. She is also remembered by her siblings Samantha Lawson, Ray Lawson, Mary Lawson, Carl Lawson, Barbara McKenzie, and Lisa McKenzie. A funeral service honoring Candy’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM and visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hall Funeral Home located at 625 CR-775 in Proctorville, Ohio.
