Carl Edwin Jones' Obituary
Carl Edwin Jones 1935 - 2017 Carl Edwin Jones, 82, of Athalia, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 while in the comfort of his childhood home. He was born January 18, 1935 in Huntington, WV son of the late Elza Ray and Virginia Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Carlton Jones; three brothers Jerry, Victor and Leland Jones. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Carolyn J. Wheeler Jones; four children Yvonne (Jeffrey) Wargo of Ravenna, Ohio, Anthony (Barbara) Jones of Streetman, Texas, Beverly (Jimmy) Pettigrew of Wisconsin and Valery (Doyle) Collins of Granbury, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; two sisters Glada (Earl) Welch and Norma Fuller; and several nieces and nephews. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the 82nd Airborne and a member of Proctorville V.F.W. Post 6878. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Proctorville V.F.W. Post 6878 will conduct military graveside rites. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
