As many of you know, Carl never met a stranger, and as a result he had many friends. I am so grateful that I am the only person that could call him Father-in-law. It was truly a privilege to be called his Daughter-in-law as well. Carl always made me laugh. I remember him high-stepping with Madison and Hayden while listening to Bluegrass music. Also, not to my dismay, Carl would say "Here she comes Miss. America" whenever I was walking down the stairs. Aside from being funny, Carl was also sweet. After he heard that Peppermint Patties are my favorite candy, he would fill up the candy jar full of Peppermint Patties whenever I came to visit. In addition, every Christmas, Carl would pick out a special wrist watch for me. I have quite a collection. For those of you that knew Carl, you're cognizant of his extensive vocabulary. He could solve that scrambled word game called JUMBLE everyday. I could barely solve it once a month. Lastly and more importantly, Carl was a Believer and an Ambassador for Christ. I already miss my loving and favorite Father-in-law, but I know that I, along with Mildred and Mark, will see him again in God's Kingdom.
Mildred and Mark, please accept our condolences in the passing of Carl. My husband, Bob Browning, and his deceased wife, Peggy, were very dear friends of Carl and Mildred for many, many years. Carl and Bob worked together at INCO as well as being members at Grace Gospel Church together. We pray that God will keep Mildred and Mark and his family wrapped securely in His loving arms during this most difficult time!!! ❤️
Uncle Carl was a dear man with an infectious smile and laugh. He could light up the room with stories from the past. He taught me how to ride a horse on his parents' farm and to enjoy watching HIM watch boxing!!! I'll miss him dearly. Prayers for Aunt Mid, Mark and family to find peace and happiness knowing he touched so many lives in many different ways.
We shall miss our wonderful neighbor and friend, Carl, who was never too busy to stop and say hello whether he was working in his dandelion free, beautifully manicured lawn or just driving by to run an errand. Mildred, Mark and family, we send our love and prayers during this most difficult time.
Mildred you and your family are in my prayers. I love you and Carl and look forward to seeing him again. Your love for each other and Christ was a blessing. I pray God will surround you with his presence during this time of loss. Your friend in Christ ; Mary Perrine 🙏
The “Mayor of Camelot” will be greatly missed. Every time Gary would help him he always wanted to do something in return. He was a genuinely wonderful person! Our prayers go out to Mildred, Mark & the rest of the family.
