Carol Ann Shanks Fogle's Obituary
Carol Ann Shanks Fogle, 77, of Proctorville, OH, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Sanctuary of the Ohio Valley Ironton, OH. Born on June 11, 1947, in Fort Knox, KY, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Vera Shanks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael “Red” Fogle II, and Michael Lee Fogle, Sr., and her sister, Barbara Kerfoot. Carol retired from 2020 Eye Care and was a member of Central Avenue Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, KY. She enjoyed spending with her family. Carol is survived by her daughters, Tammy (Tim) Sarver of Vonore, TN, Brooke (Mike) Armstrong of Proctorville, OH, and Jennifer Fogle of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Michael Fogle III of Jacksonville, FL, LCpl Arabella Sarver of Monterey, CA, Jessica Dierkes of Donnellson, IL, and Lauren (Dylan) Street of Greenville, IL; nephew, Billy (Lora) Boling and great-nephew, Logan Boling. The family would like to thank Carol’s nurses and caregivers at Sanctuary of the Ohio Valley and Heartland Hospice for the love and support. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH, is assisting the family.
