Carroll H. Nichols 1926 - 2017
Carroll H. Nichols, 90, of Proctorville, Ohio went peacefully to his Lord on Saturday, July 8, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 10, 1926 in Huntington, WV. He was a member of the Rome Church of Christ. He worked for Unocal Oil Company. He will be remembered forever by his family for his calm, patient and caring manner. He is survived by his wife of 71 happy years Helen Lucas Nichols; three children Gayle Hewitt (Tim), Penny Jessup and Carol Brown (Cliff); six grandchildren Toni Meade, Sean Maynard, Angela Graham, Kimberly Moore, Kayla Grieshop and Andrew Brown; eight great grandchildren Nathaniel Wood, Danielle Wood, Jenny Meade, Breann Maxey, Breanna Leffingwell, Emily, Evan and Maddy Graham; and three great great grandchildren. Our thanks to the caregivers and staff at Wyngate at Rivers Edge for their kindness and care. Also thanks to St. Marys Medical Center for taking care of his and the familys physical and spiritual needs. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2017 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Minister Steve McCloud. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2017 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinsons Foundation 575 Lincoln Avenue Pittsburgh, PA 15202.
