Chad Allen Hysell's Obituary
Chad Allen Hysell, 52, of Proctorville, OH, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, at his residence. He was born Dec 6, 1971, in Huntington, WV. Chad was the son of the late Ora "Russell" Hysell. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents William "Willie" and Lula Hysell and maternal grandparents Robert and Rebecca Spence.
He is survived by his fiancé Kelly Curry; Mother Brenda Spence Hysell; brothers Tim (Val), Jeremy (Laura) Hysell and Barry (Rhonda) Spence; daughter Alexis, son Tyler and grandson Ayden Hysell; nephews Nate, Zach (Emily) and Martin Hysell; nieces Hannah (Calvin) Hysell and Shelby (Zach) Spence.
He was a 1990 graduate of Barboursville High School. He enlisted in the Army in Sept.1990 and was honorably discharged in March 1993. During his service he was a medical laboratory specialist. He was a 2008 graduate of St. Mary's School of Nursing. He worked as a registered nurse at St. Mary's Medical Center until completion of his Doctorate in Anesthesia at CAMC School of Nurse Anesthesia in 2017. He was currently employed as a Nurse Anesthetist by The Urology Group in Cincinnati, Ohio.Chad was always willing to help anyone who needed him. He was a big help with Kelly's fostering for One by One Animal Advocates rescue group. He was an all-around good guy who will be greatly missed.
Interment will be in Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar, WV. A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.
