Charles Floyd Burns' Obituary
Charles Floyd "Frog" Burns, 87, of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday October 24, 2023 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV. He was born September 23, 1936 in Peebles, Ohio to the late Ray and Nora Burns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three children Barbara Scarberry, Joe Burns, and Diane Carter; one grandson Tyler Burns; four sisters Mabel, Via, Pearlene, and Mary; and five brothers Clarence, Ralph, Lee, Don, and Marvin. He is survived by his wife Cora Burns; six children Debbie Horn, Ray Burns, Mark Burns, Danny Burns, Bruce Scarberry, and Eric Haynes; 13 grandchildren Jessie Burns, Tommy Horn, Aaron Horn, Courtney Horn, Brandon Burns, Christopher Burns, Hannah Burns, Jacob Burns, Amber Haynes, Randy Carter, Johnny Carter, Sonya Slone, and Brittany; and many great grandchildren; seven siblings Roger, Russell, Larry, Jerry, Wanda "Sue", Sharon, and Ruth. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday October 27, 2023 at Guyan Creek Church Glenwood, WV. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Guyan Creek Cemetery, Glenwood, WV. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.
