Charles E. Hypes' Obituary
Charles E. Hypes of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away on July 1, 2026. He was born on September 30, 1934, to the late James Patrick and Freda Mildred Long Hypes. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Hypes, brothers Lonnie Hypes and Patrick Hypes, and sisters Drema Hutchison and Joann Guthrie. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Charles P. and Teresa Hypes of Proctorville, Ohio, five daughters and sons-in-law, Carvalho and Frank Fekete of Chesapeake, Ohio, Cheryl and John Neil of Harvest, Alabama, Pam and Barry Merlo of Burlington, Kentucky, Terri and Tim Hardwick of Wilson, North Carolina, Zina and Tony Ferrell of Climax, Georgia, eight grandchildren, Deborah (Greg) Heninger, David Michael (Anna) Merlo, Aaron Neil, Matthew (Jessica) Hypes, Mark (Sarah) Hypes, Christopher (Jamie) Hardwick, Heather Howard, and Jason (Vicky) Howard, 22 great grandchildren, two brothers Arvyl (Josephine) Hypes of Apex, North Carolina and Michael (Georgene) Hypes of Winchester, Virginia, one sister Eleanor O’Daniel of Gulf Breeze, Florida, and a host of nieces and nephews.
