Charles 'Buddy' Martin's Obituary
Charles "Buddy" Martin, 85, of Huntington, WV passed away Monday, September 23, 2019 at St. Marys Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born January 16, 1934 in New Boston, Ohio son of the late Walter and Ada Adams Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings. He was a Church of God Minister for over 50 years and a graduate from Anderson University. He also served on the Pastoral staff at St. Marys Medical Center and night Chaplain at The Huntington City Mission. He also served in the U.S. Army for three years. He is survived by his wife, Kay Martin; one daughter Kimmy Martin of Huntington, WV; one son Charles A. Martin, Jr. of Morgantown, WV; five grandchildren Kristin "KK" Sanders, Kaitlyn Martin, Megan Martin, Hayden Martin and Grayson Martin; three great grandchildren Kendrick Charles Martin, Peyton Holland and Adalynn Dempsey-Steele; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Madison Avenue Church of God 1201 Madison Avenue Huntington, WV 25704. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.
