Chase Matthew Smith (Chaser Bug Smith), 21, of Huntington, West Virginia, passed away on May 27. 2022. Chase was born in Huntington, West Virginia on December 15, 2000. Chase was preceded in death by maternal grandfather Billy Don Ward and paternal grandmother Billie Sharon Smith. Chase is survived by his parents Mark and Rhoda Smith, sisters Shaelyn (Sunny) Ferguson (Rick Norwood), Kara Smith, brother Joshua Smith, son Kashton Zaphia Smith, girlfriend, Myleaha Crockett, special lil bestie niece Jalayah Sadler, special niece Aleesia Horwood, loving grandparents Georgene Ward and Arthur Smith, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Chase's friends were family to him as well. Chase graduated from Huntington High and is a certified welder. He was loved by so many, to know him was to love him. Chase loved outdoors, spending time with his son, a wizard at fixing things. Chase had a smile as bright as the sun and a man of many traits. Services will be held at Hall Funeral Home in Proctorville, Ohio on Friday June 3, 2022, at 2:00 PM, with the visitation being 1:00-2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Crescent Hill Cemetery in Kenova, West Virginia. Condolences may be expressed at ehallfuneralhome.com.
