I'll never forget when Cheryl came to enroll Justin at Early learning Child care center at one year old . She said she chose our center because she wanted him to have an opportunity to be in a very diverse , accepting environment. He was the first black child but definitely not the last or only, she was very deliberate and particular about everything about her son and her love for him was always obvious .

I was so sorry to learn of Cheryl's passing. I often interacted with Cheryl and her father Herb in Family Court. They both exhibited professionalism and integrity in their legal practice. Cheryl leaves behind a great legacy of public service and will surely be missed. May God bless the family in this time of loss.
