Chester Washington Petty's Obituary
Chester Washington Petty, 71, of Scottown, OH, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026. Born on June 17, 1954, in Gallipolis, OH, he was the son of the late Harold and Mary Petty. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Andrew, Kenneth “Kenny” Jr., and Oliver Petty. He is survived by his children, Franklin, Paula, and Stella Petty; stepdaughter, Emma Liames; brothers, Claude, Thomas, and Chuck; sisters, Wilma Campbell, Wanda Estep, Alberta (Ken) Groves, Mary Petty, Martha Gray, Neoma Petty, and Paula (Frank) Petty Mullins; soon to be granddaughter, Nelani Skye Petty, and special friend, Matt Manns. A memorial service will be held at 6 P.M. Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Schneider Hall Funeral Home in Chesapeake, OH. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
