Christopher “Shaggy” Leffingwell, 37, of South Point, OH, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020 at his mother’s home. He was born on November 6, 1982 in Ironton, OH. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and grandmother Edgar and Wilma Slone; paternal grandfather and grandmother Irvan and Deloris Leffingwell; maternal uncles Eddie Slone and Terry Anderson; aunt Dianna Fuller; cousin David Anderson; paternal uncle Mike Leffingwell; aunt Cathy Leffingwell; cousin Dennis McMaster; and step-brother Tim Bates. He is survived by his father Ronald Leffingwell of Proctorville, OH; mother Rebecca Bates and stepfather Gerald Bates Sr. of South Point, OH; brother Jeremy Leffingwell of South Point, OH; step-brothers Jimmie Bates of Senecaville, OH, Gerald Bates Jr of Jersey Shore, PA, and Thomas Bates of Caldwell, OH; step-sister Crystal Dudley of Byesville, OH; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Thanks to a very special cousin who helped him through his illness and helped his mother take over paperwork that she could not handle, Jessica Downing. He was a crew manager at Fat Patty’s in Huntington, WV. Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH with Pastor Ronnie Tyree officiating. Burial will follow the service at Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, OH. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at the funeral home.
