Christopher Stephen Ward 1991 - 2016
Christopher Stephen Ward, 25, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Friday, December 16, 2016. He was born April 8, 1991 in Huntington, WV son of Stephen Ward of Proctorville, Ohio and Elaine Ward of Huntington, WV, who survive him. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters Ashley Ward and Erin Ward; half sister Brandy Ward; nephew Rowan Ward; grandmother Sharon Fox; two uncles Steve (Mandy) Fox and Glen Ward; two aunts Vicki (Michael) Rosenberg and Joetta Payne; and five cousins Marshall Fox, Micah Fox, Max Fox, Cory Payne and Macy Payne. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Paul and Betty Ward; and maternal grandfather Harold Fox. He graduated from Fairland High School in 2009, where he was an all sportsman in basketball, baseball and golf and also attended Marshall University. He had worked previously as a professional poker dealer at Mardi Gras Casino and Resort in Cross Lanes, WV and was currently working at Tecta America in Birmingham, AL. He attended New Hope United Methodist Church in Proctorville, Ohio and was currently attending Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, AL. He was also a tiger den cub scout leader for first graders. Christopher also volunteered with cleaning up during the 2016 flooding in Baton Rouge, LA and also during the flooding in West Virginia. A memorial service will be held 8 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Recovery Point 200 9th Avenue Huntington, WV 25703.
