Clarence Leon Henderson's Obituary
Clarence Leon Henderson, 75, of South Point, Ohio, answered his last call at 4:50am on Friday February 24, 2017 after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Gladys Henderson and sister Sharon Saunders. He is survived by his wife Janet; two step-sons, Dale Brown and David Colley; daughter-in-law Belinda Jackson; two grandchildren, Sara Vickers and Mark Colley; one brother, Alan Henderson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He attended South Point schools and was employed by Schritter Construction Company of South Point, Ohio for several years. He was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Burlington where he was an active member of the men's chior. He was a member of the Burlington Volunteer Fire Department for over 50 years. He recieved the Legion of Honor from the National Rifle Association. He loved hunting and fishing and was awarded a plaque for catching the three biggest fish in one day at Sky Lake. He was also a direct decendent of one of the original 37 families that settled in Burlington, Ohio. Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm on Monday February 27, 2017 at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home in Chesapeake, Ohio. Funeral service will be 2pm on Tuesday February 28, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Burlington in Burlington, Ohio. Burial will follow at Burlington 37 Cemetery in Burlington, Ohio.
