Claudia Jill Edmonds' Obituary
Claudia Jill Edmonds, 85, of Huntington, West Virginia passed away peacefully Monday, July 24, 2023 after a short stay at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland with her family by her side.
She was born August 30, 1937, in Chesapeake, Ohio, a daughter of Gory Edward and Rozella Ransbottom. She was a talented artist and an award winning quilter. Claudia was owner of The Cherry Tree Quilt Shop. She had a passion for quilting and taught many classes over the years. She enjoyed bowling, working in her flowers, and was a master gardener.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Kim (Mike) Sellards of Huntington, West Virginia; one son, Mike Haupt of Huntington, West Virginia; one sister, Helen Morrison of St. Augustine, Florida; three grandchildren, Michael Sellards, Erica (Adonis) Ginn, and Michael Haupt; and three great-grandchildren, Jayden, Gavin, and Cashton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Edmonds; and one brother, Gary Ransbottom.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, July 31, 2023 and friends and family may visit from 4-7pm at the Village House Venue, located at 667 Central Avenue Barboursville, West Virginia.
